Manoj Jain, MD MPH is an infectious disease physician, writer, public health leader and philantropist. He is the founder and president of Mid-South Infectious Disease Associates, a practice providing one third of the infectious disease care in the region, and he served as medical lead for the regional COVID-19 Task Force, earning the nickname "Dr. Fauci of Memphis." As a writer, he has published hundreds of columns in the Washington Post, USA Today-TN, New York Times and Times of India, and is the author of several books, including Mahavira: The Hero of Nonviolence. Drawing on the Eastern tradition and his own meditation practice, he writes. teaches and conducts research on spirituality. He founded the Gandhi-King Conference and CETI, a nonprofit working to end tuberculosis in India and has an endowed lectureship at Harvard’s Brigham and Woman’s Hospital at the Osher Center. In 2026, Dr. Jain joins Harvard's Advanced Leadership Initiative as a fellow.
